Adolf Hitler was born April 20th, 1889 and committed suicide April 30th, 1945.
He was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria. an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the Nazi Party. He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945. Hitler was at the centre of Nazi Germany, World War II in Europe, and the Holocaust.
Hitler managed to win the support of the German people on his road to war, genocide, and a German Reich through a combination of coercion and reward. The Nazis used propaganda to increase their support and appeal. They spent huge sums of money on newspapers, leaflets and poster campaigns with simple slogans encouraging people to support the party. Hitler was feared because of his widespread use of the secret police and concentration camps, however, people supported him also because of the new opportunities he brought to the them. Hitler brought about economic recovery and a huge public works program that helped benefit highways, offices, sports stadiums, and housing. Unemployment fell, the standard of living went up, and business profits rose. Hitler told almost all of the groups in Germany what they wanted to hear in order to win their support. He promised farmers higher prices for their produce; unemployed workers jobs in public works; and the middle class the profits of small business. Also, he never raised taxes on anyone. Through these achievements he created a sense of national pride and security.
